"Civic buildings should be a reflection of the societal aspirations that they represent."
They are required to communicate with a large audience, as their user populations continue to become increasingly varied and distinct. Innate in the design and execution of civic buildings is the need for a welcoming presence and ease of inhabitance, which in turn promotes user participation and interest. Civic buildings offer a rare opportunity to enrich the lives of many different users, sometimes on a daily basis. BeckVale seeks to establish a strong sense of communal pride in the various civic commissions that we undertake. Developing architecture with a strong sense of identity and transparency helps us to achieve this goal. Further we appreciate the important role that civic architecture has in representing its larger community, beyond its immediate surroundings. Click images to view full size.
